Nothing is more exciting and stressful than building a new home! At Bay Easy Construction our number one goal is to reduce your level of stress as much as we can by managing the whole process from beginning to end, and meeting deadlines as closely as we possibly can.

In new home construction there are 7 major stages: 

Stage 1: Design and Blueprints A new home allows for the opportunity to plan your home around your needs. Now is the time to be clear of what you want and convey this to the Architect that will draw up the home blueprints.

Stage 2: Permitting Before you can build your new home you will need to obtain all the necessary permits. Bay Easy Construction can assist you with obtaining all the permits needed.

Stage 3: Preparing the Foundation As your builder Bay Easy Construction will take great pains to properly grade and excavate your plot before laying the foundation. We also account for the drainage of the plot to maintain the integrity of the foundation for the long-term. As the foundation is being laid, we also rough in the plumbing and have it inspected so it will be to code for your area. Our new home builders will keep up with weather delays and keep in communication with you.

Stage 4: Framing Framing is when you can start seeing your new home construction developing. The layout of your home starts showing with interior and exterior walls and stairs are added. Once the walls are framed, the structural items can be added to help protect the rest of the new home building from weather exposure with proper roofing and exterior doors and windows. Once this is complete, the interior of the house can be finished.

Stage 5: Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical The plumbing, mechanical (HVAC system) and electrical work has to be completed to code and inspected. This process can slow new home construction down if completed incorrectly and needs to be inspected and completed before the drywall installation. This infrastructure is crucial for the smooth running of the home before all the beautiful finishes get added.

Stage 6: Insulation and Drywall After the guts of the house are installed any insulation can be filled in. Then the drywall or sheet rock is used to cover the framing. It will then be finished with a texture or a smooth finish.

Stage 7: Exterior and Interior Finish After the infrastructure of the house is inspected and approved, the drywall is up and sealed, your new home construction can be capped off with final details. Doors can be hung, hardware will be added the electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems can be tested. Our interior designers on our new home builder team will help you through each of these final decisions so the materials are ready for installation. Any final inspections will be performed at this time as well.
